Black and Asiatic women are really lucky when it comes to bridal hair jewelry - it looks GREAT in their hair ( that contrast between the dark hair and the shiny jewels ) and their hair is thicker and holds hair jewelry really well! If you are thinking about something a little different for your wedding ensemble, I encourage women of color to think about hair jewelry - check these women out…they look awesome.

I’ve found some awesome new products which will soon be joining the lineup at DTA.
A beautiful slim headband / side fascinator combo - this would be wonderful for a woman with fine or short hair!

A lovely new cage veil:

We’ll be adding a lovely selection of artificial ( and very realistic ! ) flowers on alligator clips to clip at the base of a bun, or above the ear. Here’s an artificial gardenia:

And last but not least - a few new highly jeweled barrettes are coming soon. How gorgeous is this one?? A little Art Deco…I want to wear it every day!

What is it about braids? I find myself fascinated by a beautiful hairstyle with just intricate braiding. Tight against the head, loose, piled on top - I love them and they are very hair accessory friendly! Also, braiding is just right for a beach wedding - no flyaway hair to worry about!

The one question I get asked the most - hands down - is what I would suggest for the bride with short hair.
Personally, I’ve always felt a bride should look like herself, only more “done up” to mark the special occasion. If you never wear your hair up and you do on your wedding day, you might not be as comfortable as you could be.
Here are a few lovely looks I’ve found for women with shorter hair.

Have fun looking at more styles I’ve found here on the Net.
Every week, I get a list from my ISP telling me which photos are posted around the web - and the vast majority of my pictures are hotlinked ( It’s ok, I don’t mind! ) into bridal forums. I love that you guys are sharing these pics with each other! In fact, it’s fun following the link and finding one of my photos on a Scandanavian or Arabic bridal website!

I always love 1/2 up, 1/2 down.

Pretty use of small crystal pins!

I’ve been enjoying the 30″ of snow we received here in Maryland - nearly everything is closed and the landscape is just gorgeous…but it also made my thoughts turn to sand, sun, and surf. How about you? Have you been thinking about a destination wedding? The beach is never far from my mind, that is for sure…
Beach hairstyles are , for the most part, pulled back into a low bun. Why? Think about the weather. The wind. What if its windy on your wedding day? Do you want your perfect hairstyle whipping every which way? Pulled back, you will look put together no matter what comes your way!
Here are some beautiful beach styles with lovely hair accents - flowers, and pins are typical for these looks.

Are those large stephanotis blossoms or orchids? Either way...pretty!
